Overview

Element is seeking a full-time, Test Technician (temperature, humidity, altitude, cryogenics) to join our Environmental/Climatics Department in the Tempe, Arizona lab.

This is an exciting opportunity to leverage your previous technical acumen for a career within the testing and certification industry. You will join a tight-knit and supportive team in a role that requires critical thinking and will give you exposure to the biggest names in the aerospace and space industry.

Salary: $25 - $32 / hour

Responsibilities
    Perform a variety of routine and non-routine testing assignments within testing chambers to insure timely and accurate test results. (Example testing: temperature, humidity, and altitude exposures)
  • Prepare customer supplied articles for testing
  • Operate environmental test chambers and data acquisition equipment.
    Detailed organization of test documentation: procedures, log sheets, equipment lists, photos and test data
  • Daily maintenance of chambers, refrigeration systems, control systems, mechanical systems
    Support lab-wide initiatives around safety and efficiency utilizing 5S methodologies
Skills / Qualifications
  • 2 years of relevant experience - previous experience with chambers, refrigeration systems, HVAC, low voltage electrical systems, plc controllers, thermocouples, humidity probes, pressure sensors and/or data loggers is a plus
  • Ability to read and understand customer specifications and perform the testing required.
  • Ability to problem solve independently and autonomously schedule their day to meet required tasks.
  • 5S experience preferred
