ABOUT THE JOB:

Are you ready to make a substantial impact on operational excellence?

As the Supply Chain Manager at WillScot Mobile Mini(WSMM), you'll play a pivotal role in driving our corporate strategy forward by spearheading operational enhancements in inventory management and supply planning. In this role, you'll be at the forefront of ensuring highly visible and accurate inventory management across our extensive North American branch network.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Operational Excellence Driver: Your primary focus will be on supporting our corporate strategy by optimizing inventory management and supply planning processes. Through your strategic guidance, we aim to achieve world-class accuracy levels in inventory and planning.

  • Process Innovation: You'll lead the charge in creating and implementing cutting-edge inventory management processes. By leveraging your expertise, we'll establish streamlined procedures that set new standards for efficiency and accuracy.

  • Training Initiatives: Empowering our team members with the necessary knowledge and skills is paramount. You'll develop comprehensive training programs aimed at equipping our workforce with the tools they need to maintain exceptional inventory accuracy.

  • Utilization of SAP: Leveraging SAP as our planning and reporting system, you'll harness its capabilities to drive improvements in inventory management and supply planning. Your adeptness with SAP will be instrumental in optimizing our operations and achieving our objectives.

WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING:

Supply Chain Planning and Execution:

  • Developing and deploying end-to-end planning and execution systems and processes for WSMM's supply chain.
  • Leading demand management across the entire supply chain, including hub planning and distribution planning.
  • Crafting and deploying large-scale solutions supporting supply chain planning functions.
  • Leading New Product Introductions (NPI) planning and execution within Product Management.
  • Executing a multi-year supply chain capabilities roadmap to advance systems, processes, and tools for transformation.
  • Overseing supply planning to support inventory reduction plans.

Data Analysis and Utilization:

  • Developing, implementing, and utilizing data mining and data analysis tools to support supply chain strategy and operations.
  • Driving usage of cost models for validating commodity strategies and understanding significant cost drivers through industry benchmarking.
  • Tracking forecast accuracy and consumption vs. forecast.

Inventory Management and Control:

  • Managing material flow to ensure optimal inventory levels for on-time deliveries while keeping inventory holdings appropriate.
  • Developing inventory forecast plans for input consumption materials and VAPS materials by collaborating with various stakeholders.
  • Tracking inventory levels and managing aged inventory plans.
  • Collaborating with accounting and operations to ensure monthly branch material consumption aligns with expectations.
  • Developing and conducting field-level training on inventory policies and Standard Work Instructions (SWIs).
  • Working closely with accounting and finance to develop best practice cycle policies and procedures, including training on branch physical count and cycle count routines.
  • Scheduling physical inventory count frequency and ensuring completion of scheduled tasks.
  • Working closely with Field Management to provide accurate inventory results and reconcile errors.
SKILLS + EXPERIENCE:
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Engineering or Supply Chain Management
  • 8+years ofleadership in a supply chain, financial management or operations-based role
  • Ability to develop and conduct training with cross-functional stakeholders
  • Experience with project and change management
  • Demonstrates skills to lead and manage direct and indirect teams through a matrix style organization.
  • Experience with SAP, SEC, Ariba, APO
  • Strong interpersonal skills and relationship management/engagement with the field
  • Analytical thinker with an understanding of broader supply chain initiatives
