Airmen Ministry Center Coordinator

Provide administrative and logistical support for AMC daily operations. Consult and coordinate with the AMC Religious Support Team (RST).

Compensation & Benefits:

Estimated Starting Salary Range for Airmen Ministry Center Coordinator: $19/hour

Pay commensurate with experience.

Full time benefits include Medical, Dental, Vision, 401K and other possible benefits as provided. Benefits are subject to change with or without notice.

Airmen Ministry Center Coordinator Responsibilities Include:

  • Provides overall management and logistics of all faith group ministries.
  • Provides logistical support for the AMC to include coordination of non-chapel events utilizing the Solid Rock Cafe in accordance with the guidelines set forth by the Air Force Chaplain Corps and local operational instructions.
  • Provides administrative support for the AMC to include receptionist (phones and greeter).
  • Provides orientation for new White Ropes in the area of facilities, funding, religious education policies, and available resources.
  • Maintains the equipment and supplies at the AMC and ensure all material is properly stored, secured, and labeled.
  • Supports Airman Ministry RST for events and excursions for Airmen.
  • Ensures the AMC is open and staffed. Maintains a schedule of office hours.
  • Helps develop an annual calendar of events and budgets for both the Chapel Tithe and Offering and appropriated funds.
  • Coordinates all AMC support requirements with the AMC RST.
  • Keeps a record of event/excursion participation and weekly attendance at the AMC.
  • Maintains a current roster of the White Ropes and other volunteers.
  • Performs other job-related duties as assigned

Airmen Ministry Center Coordinator Experience, Education, Skills, Abilities requested:

  • Two years of experience working within a military training environment or young adult ministry. Be a spiritually sensitive person who specializes in working with military personnel, chapel volunteer lay leaders, and contractors in a pluralistic environment. Requires previous experience in managing people and resources.
  • Ability to maintain a professional appearance to include, attire, demeanor, and language while serving as a representative of the chapel team.
  • Demonstrate enthusiasm for student ministry and be self-motivated and possess the ability to work unsupervised.
  • Possess knowledge and be able to demonstrate skills using Windows-based computer systems, social media, email, and file management.
  • Must have strong written and oral communication skills and be able to efficiently organize, communicate, and manage diverse program requirements; possess ability to use Microsoft Office programs (I.E. word, excel, power point, etc.).
  • Must be able to work cooperatively and collaboratively with assigned chaplains, Religious Affairs Airmen, and coordinators within a pluralistic environment.
  • Must be at least 21 years of age.
  • Must pass pre-employment qualifications of Cherokee Federal
