This is an entry-level non-exempt full-time (40 hours/week) position that reports to the Marketing Communications Manager and supports Sales and Marketing activities under their direction. The ideal candidate:

  • Has exceptional communication skills, both verbal and written, allowing him/her to manage projects and expectations from clients and senior leaders.

  • Maintains the highest degree of professionalism, always serving as a brand ambassador.
  • Is defined by a solid work ethic, with strong personal and professional integrity.
  • Has a passion for both marketing AND the mission of IES Communications and seeks to always promote and improve our brand and presence in the area.
Responsibilities:
  • Calendar management of all upcoming and ongoing projects.
  • Coordinate and implement online, email, and physical mail marketing initiatives.
  • Assist in the design, development, and distribution of content marketing deliverables.
  • Assist in monitoring online marketing and social media trends and best practices.
  • Coordinate and assist in the creation of graphics and illustrative copy.
  • Participate in key events.
  • Perform support duties including but not limited to: database management, reporting and analytics, maintaining marketing materials, tradeshow support, and managing sales and marketing software tools.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in business, marketing, or communications, OR minimum 2 years of experience in a sales/marketing role
  • Highly proficient with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
  • Highly proficient in EITHER Canva OR Adobe Creative Suite
  • Experience with social media tools
  • Familiarity with CMS and marketing analytics tools (Google Analytics) a plus
  • Experience with writing and editing copy a plus

  • Must be able to be adaptable and pick up new techniques.
  • Must be able to interface well with IES clients, prospects, and business partners on a regular basis.
  • Must exhibit good interpersonal skills and communicate well over the phone and in person.
  • Must be able to travel as needed.
  • Regular attendance is mandatory

Education, Certification, License, and Skill Requirements:

  • Must have at least High School diploma or GED equivalency; Associates Degree preferred.
  • Must be proficient in Photoshop, Illustrator or other visual design tools.
  • Must be proficient with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook).
  • Must be up to date with the latest trends, techniques and technologies.
  • Must have excellent visual design skills with sensitivity to user-system interaction.
  • Must have experience in customer interface, such as liaison between the customer and the Company.
  • Must be detail oriented, and have good people, customer service skills.
  • Must have good written and oral communications skills.
  • Must be able to multi-task. Managing the efforts of multiple people and departments to achieve desired results, collaborating extensively.
  • Must be able to prioritize.
  • Must present a neat professional appearance.
  • Must be creative and think outside the box.
  • Prefer a minimum of two (2) years working in an environment dealing with executive level staff.
  • Prior experience in sales environment, both face-to-face and phone, preferred.
  • Must meet Company minimum driving standards.
