Position Description:

Manages, maintains, and optimizes the organization's learning management system (LMS) and associated learning technologies. This role is crucial in maintaining, reporting, and tracking systems to facilitate effective learning and development initiatives throughout Goodwill of Central and Northern Arizona (GCNA) and its affiliated entities.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Develops and maintains an expert-level understanding of LMS capabilities; provides recommendations to the leadership team and L&D Team Members on ways to maximize LMS effectiveness.
  • Stays abreast of new and upcoming system updates to ensure appropriate steps are taken to fully leverage new or changing capabilities without adversely impacting learners and the organization.
  • Designs, develops, and delivers reporting tools to support learners in accessing and completing learning.
  • Develops and documents systems, with appropriate workflows and approvals, to ensure published content is accurate and current and users have correct access based on their role needs.
  • Provides advice, guidance, encouragement, and support to Team Members involved in teaching on the use of technology.
  • Works with LMS vendor, IT, or software vendor to resolve any technical issues with learning assets or performance within the LMS.
  • Works within the L&D team and with other departments to identify training requirements to build and maintain learning plans.
  • Shows initiative and innovation through proactively consulting with L&D Team Members and other departments to identify where and how learning technologies can enrich learning.
  • Facilitates integration between the LMS and other tools and resources.
  • Responsible for promoting and supporting several learning technologies.
  • Creates and maintains internal team website (working knowledge of html, css).
  • Develops and maintains an LMS strategy for organization and delivery of content.
  • Maintains the LMS, including uploading and organizing new content to meet established criteria.
  • Generates reporting to provide visibility to adoption, completion status, and effectiveness of training solutions delivered via the LMS; analyzes data and recommends direction and/or solutions.
  • Develops learning solutions enabled or enhanced by the Internet, intranet, or other electronic media, including instructor-led training, self-paced learning, online mentors, online support, video on demand, virtual classrooms, and virtual labs.
  • Provides support to all users (learners, trainers, and supervisors) for troubleshooting and training on system capabilities, navigation, and functionality.
  • Provides technology support with WebEx, survey tools, various learning software, and other tools as needed.
  • Actively stays up-to-date on learning technologies.

Minimum Qualifications (Education, Experience, Skills):

  • Bachelor's degree in Systems Administration, Management Systems Administration, Data Analytics, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 2 years' experience in administering and/or supporting Learning Management Systems (LMS), demonstrating technical proficiency in system management and troubleshooting.
  • Strong data orientation with adept research skills.
  • Proficiency in data reporting techniques.
  • Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Ability to speak and read English proficiently.
  • Thorough understanding of LMS logic and hierarchy interaction.
  • Experience configuring Workday LMS to align with specific organizational requirements.
  • Familiarity with SCORM, xAPI, and AICC e-learning standards.
  • Knowledge of instructional design and adult learning principles.
  • Proficiency in e-learning design software for updates and editing (e.g., Captivate or Articulate Storyline).
  • Proven ability to identify operational issues and propose effective problem-solving strategies.
  • Capable of collaborating with cross-functional teams and stakeholders across all organizational levels.
  • Self-motivated and proactive in issue identification and resolution, with meticulous attention to detail.
