Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Create measurements and KPIs to support data collection and identify opportunities for improvement
  • Enter and analyze data
  • Gather data such as standard work process steps, time studies, spaghetti diagrams, observations, Gemba walks, safety walks, and team meetings.
  • Create process maps and facilitate a team through identifying gaps.
  • Coach others through problem solving and tiered board meetings
  • Identify organizational opportunities in areas such as safety, quality and performance.
  • Run small experiments and team events
  • Participate in improvement events, small experiments, team meetings and
  • Understand A3 design principles such as current state, future state, creating leading measures and leading through a problem-solving process.
  • Support in the facilitation of CI training.
  • Other duties as assigned.


Qualifications:
  • Must have a safety-first mindset with an ability to recognize unsafe conditions and make recommendations for improvement.
  • Must have a positive attitude and a desire to learn and develop.
  • Good organizational and communication skills required.
  • Skills in mathematics and basic statistics


Education and/or Experience:
  • Bachelors Degree preferred



Language Skills:
  • Must be capable of speaking, reading, and writing English
  • Ability to read, analyze and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations.
  • Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals
  • Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public.
  • Ability to understand and speak Spanish is desirable.


Mathematical Skills:
  • Must be capable of performing addition, subtraction, multiplication and division calculations.
  • Ability to work with mathematical concepts related to mechanical design.
  • Ability to apply concepts such as geometry, trigonometry, fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations.
  • Must be capable of formatting calculations using Excel.
  • Must possess excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.


Reasoning Ability:
  • Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of variables in situations where only limited standardization may exist.
  • Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
  • Excellent problem solving skills and the ability to use these skills in conjunction with the Operations Team.


Computer Skills:
  • Must be computer literate and efficient in the use of Microsoft Office programs required


Certificates, Licenses, Registrations:
  • Preferred - Certification in Six Sigma, Lean or other form of continuous improvement methodology
