Alliance Technical Group is the largest exclusive air emissions stack testing services company in the United States. We are hiring a Source Testing Quality Manager to support our Alliance Source Testing (AST) business unit. This position has remote flexibility, depending on candidate location. The Source Testing Quality Manager (QM) reports directly to the Director of Quality. The QM is an experienced professional in the field of source testing whose primary responsibility is to facilitate the quality program for the AST business unit. This individual will collaborate with other members of the Quality team to identify and champion AST and corporate continuous improvement initiatives.

Essential Functions:

  • Execute and maintain the Quality Management System detailed in the Alliance Quality Management Plan for Source Testing.
  • Collaborate with other Quality team members and AST Leadership to maintain applicable accreditations.
  • Work with the Accreditation Manager to perform internal quality audits and address nonconformities and corrective actions from previous audits.
  • Organize documentation of customer complaints and non-conformances. Develop a process for root cause analysis for occurrences. Develop preventative and corrective actions. Work with training, operations, and other personnel to implement actions.
  • Utilize a proactive approach to identify potential risks and issues relating to the delivery of projects and manage root cause analysis and lessons-learned resolution process.
  • Partner with AST Leadership and Technical Services to ensure consistent and accurate data quality and interpretation of applicable regulations.
  • Use knowledge and experience to propose or approve modifications or improvements to quality system documentation such as standard operating procedures, guidance documents, technical training, and/or data collection forms.
  • Participate in technical conversations with customers and regulatory authorities to validate sampling approaches and project reports.
  • Work with AST Leadership and Technical Services to develop and implement data-gathering techniques to identify and rank opportunities for continuous improvement.
  • Promotes a risk-aware culture; ensures efficient and effective risk and compliance management practices by adhering to required standards and processes.
  • Manage the weekly AST Did You Know communication.
  • Champion the AST Qualified Individual Incentive program.
  • Participate as a thought leader in industry-specific programs such as the Source Evaluation Society, ASTM, etc.

Pay Range:

Starting at $75k annually, depending on experience & location

    Required Qualifications:

    • Bachelor's Degree
    • At least 7 years of experience in the air source testing industry
    • At least 5 years in quality-related experience
    • Technical writing experience
    • Experience in change management, stakeholder management, and influencing people without authority

    Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities:

    • Outstanding collaboration and communication skills; strong people and leadership skills; ability to communicate with all levels of staff, management, senior leadership, and customers
    • Highly motivated to take ownership and drive initiatives with minimal direction
    • Must be comfortable with managing and driving change
    • Familiarity with US EPA Test Methods and Regulations, ASTM D7036, NCASI, SCAQMD, CARB, etc.
    • Capacity to think strategically and innovatively
    • Demonstrated problem-solving skills
    • Familiarity with source testing equipment calibration
    • Refined attention to detail and excellent organizational skills
    • High-level proficiency with Excel and various data acquisition systems
    • Solid computer skills, including MS Word, Adobe, and Outlook
    • Valid driver's license; must be able to meet a Motor Vehicle Review in accordance with Company policy

    Travel:

    10-25 percent
