SUMMARY:

In this role, you will be responsible for creating, implementing and sustaining Benchmark's operational excellence initiatives. You will develop, implement, and communicate the company's quality and manufacturing engineering strategies, including its quality programs, worldwide process excellence programs such as Lean, Six Sigma, Continuous Improvement, Regulatory Compliance and Health and Safety. You will promote recognition of Company quality programs among customers and develop and implement employee communications and training programs.

You will also be responsible for the development and implementation of the Global Quality System, including customer and internal audit program, deviation management, change control, quality management systems, quality training, and data collection and reporting. You will provide quality oversight and consulting in solving critical Quality related issues and act as the escalation path for customer quality issues.

QUIALIFICATIONS:

Bachelor's degree in engineering or business; masters or MBA preferred

10+ years with an Electronics Manufacturing Service, Contract Manufacturer, or equivalent OEM.

10+ years leading quality, lean, continuous improvement or manufacturing engineering within a manufacturing environment.

Strategic vision with ability for tactical implementation

Excellent interpersonal skills with ability to influence all levels throughout organization

Proven catalyst for change

Subject matter expert in all methodologies associated with Lean (Six Sigma Black Belt, 5S, Kaizen, Value Stream mapping, etc.).

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Define Benchmark's strategy and roadmap as well as manage policy deployment in the areas of manufacturing, test, capability, lean manufacturing, quality, cost reduction, complete and on-time delivery and safety.

identify, communicate and drive implementation of capital investments and improvement projects.

Responsible for driving manufacturing operational excellence in support of short-term and long range business objectives and strategies.

Drive the organization towards high operational standards and interface with site manufacturing management in promoting the effective application of lean manufacturing, Six Sigma, continuous improvement and EHS protocols.

Works with senior leadership to develop appropriate metrics that drive and monitor continuous improvement, and are consistent with achieving the business plan.

Develop and track plans to improve quality (COPQ) and implement defect prevention processes to drive value.

Responsible for the review and process development of new technologies. Work with segments, customers, engineering, process engineering and manufacturing to ensure new technologies are accurately quoted and can be manufactured with acceptable yields while meeting Customer needs. Follow critical builds throughout the manufacturing cycle to ensure builds are successful, adjusting processes as required. Provide feedback to the appropriate groups on process adjustments that affect pricing, cycle times, manufacturing techniques and tooling requirements.

Define and implement equipment, test and automation global standards and framework.

Execute standards, methods, and procedures to determine product release readiness

Ensures that best practices are developed and shared among sites, monitors progress to goals and helps with tools, training and resources where required.

Challenge suppliers to embrace Lean in their operation as it relates to improving and enhancing capabilities.

Drive the vision to ensure management empowers employees for ultimate ownership and engagement in the tactical actions.
