The Senior IAM Engineer role and responsibility is to protect Zayo computer networks from cybersecurity attacks and unauthorized access. This position helps implement, manage, and monitor technical and administrative controls to protect the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of the organization's information assets. The Senior IAM Engineer will predominantly engage in cybersecurity engineering activities for the IAM program that may include POCs, designing, implementation and operationalization of new and current IGA, PAM, SSO & MFA technologies that improves Zayo's security posture. The Senior IAM Engineer would also be responsible for defining service roadmaps and maturity targets. Partners with IT and Cybersecurity architects and engineers, working groups, project teams and application owners to support business and regulatory objectives. This role may be required to provide rotating 24x7 on-call support.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Installs, upgrades, maintains and monitors security technology.

  • Troubleshoot and resolve security process and system problems.

  • Leads the deployment of new cybersecurity technology and is responsible for maximizing ROI.

  • Leads the design and deployment of new IGA and/or PAM technologies within Zayo environments.

  • Is responsible for IAM platform management, deployment enhancements and BAU activities.

  • Leads the integration and operationalization of IAM technologies and processes with business partners across the organization.

  • Is responsible to ensure appropriate logs are sent to SIEM and monitoring content is developed for operational use cases.

  • Drives the coordination and completion of operations documentation.

  • Follow defined processes to deliver quality services in accordance with predefined SLAs.

  • Creates documentation of information security solutions including design documents, flow diagrams, RACI matrices, and inventories to ensure proper operation and monitoring of security technology.

  • Collaborate across Cybersecurity and IT organizations to obtain and share and acquire knowledge.

  • Develops program specific metrics and measurements.

  • Navigates the complex information security discipline to help grow the functional area's service offering.

  • Develops and tunes new use cases for monitoring and/or automation.

  • Enable new integrations across cybersecurity solutions to mature our security posture.

  • Is responsible for multiple technologies across multiple areas of cybersecurity.

  • Develops strategy for area of responsibility to ensure appropriate cybersecurity controls are implemented based on industry best practices

Experience and Education Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, cybersecurity, programming, database administration, or a related field.

  • Possession or progress towards certifications such as CISSP, CISM, ISC2, ISACA, SANS GIAC, CompTIA, ITIL.

  • Minimum of 6 years of experience in systems administration and security aspects of information systems, computer networking, telecommunications, systems development and management.

  • Minimum 5 years of experience with on prem or cloud IAM technologies and implementations.

  • Proficient with the operation of network devices, security appliances and security technologies as well as Linux, Windows and Mac OS operating systems.

  • Good understanding of cybersecurity threats and hacking methods.

  • Extensive experience with the design and implementation of IGA & PAM solutions within a corporate environment.

  • Excellent understanding of success criteria of IAM solutions implementation requirements and adoption drivers.

  • In depth knowledge of cybersecurity platforms across multiple cybersecurity services (examples: Endpoint, Network, Automation, Application Security, IAM, Cloud Engineering, SIEM, CASB, Zero Trust solutions).

  • Experience documenting and implementing cybersecurity technology lifecycle from RFI requests to implementation and operationalization approval.

  • Strong experience with SIEM integrations and use case development for SOC monitoring.

  • Experience with workload automation, scripting and process efficiency preferred.

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills with attention to detail for high quality work products.

Base pay range: $136,900 - $175,000, commensurate with experience.
