What You'll Be Doing

As a Warehouse Technician, you will play a crucial role in the efficient and safe handling of materials, ensuring accurate inventory control, and maintaining a high level of customer satisfaction. Scope and Responsibilities

Some of your duties will include: * Adhere to written work instructions, ensuring accurate and safe execution of tasks. * Work safely, utilizing all necessary personal protective equipment (PPE), and promptly escalate any potential safety or quality concerns to the appropriate personnel. * Perform accurate quality control checks on incoming materials, maintaining high standards of product integrity. * Convey materials and items from receiving areas to storage or other designated locations. * Sort and place materials or items on racks, shelves, or bins according to predetermined sequences, such as size, temperature specifications, type, style, or product code. * Unload materials, verify paperwork and packing slips, note discrepancies, and distribute items to the designated recipient. * Assemble paperwork received from customer service representatives and place orders on pallets or designated locations. * Mark materials with identifying information and verify accuracy. * Wrap and ship skids in a secure and efficient manner. * Use computers for inter-company correspondence, download temperature recorder data, and verify temperature control within customer specifications. * Operate forklifts, trucks, pallet jacks, and other designated equipment to move, put away, or retrieve specified materials, following safety rules and regulations. * Maintain showcase standards by ensuring cleanliness and organization throughout the service center, including picking up and disposing of trash. * Uphold safety and security standards by immediately reporting any items or individuals within the service center that appear to be out of order to management. * This job description outlines the primary responsibilities of the Warehouse Technician role but is not exhaustive. Other tasks and duties may be assigned as needed to support the efficient functioning of the warehouse and logistics operations.

Qualifications

Experience and Education: * High School Diploma, GED, or College education * Forklift experience is preferred (training provided) * Ability to demonstrate proficiency at the completion of initial training. Communication Skills: * Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate with a diverse team. * Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Computer Skills: * Proficiency in computer skills, including knowledge of manufacturing software, order processing systems, warehouse management software, and Microsoft Office (specifically Outlook) Other Skills and Abilities: * Ability to write routine reports and correspondence You'll also need to be able to: * Read, write, speak, and comprehend the English language. * See both distance and details at close range, within a few feet of the observer (with or without corrective lenses). * Identify and understand the speech of another person (with or without a personal auditory hearing device). * Adapt your schedule as needed to accommodate the business requirements, which may involve occasional early arrivals, late stays, and last-minute adjustments. This may also entail being available during holidays or outside of regular shifts.
