SCOPE OF WORK: This internship is located within the Family Reunification Program, whose purpose is to establish strong, mutually-beneficial connections between the community and the IRC in Arizona in order to bolster applications and community education. The Community Engagement Intern will work closely with the Family Reunification Coordinator towards these goals in order to enhance the IRC Arizona ability to meet client's rights. This position is an unpaid internship and requires a minimum of 15 hours a week for at least three months.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
* Assist Family Reunification Team in maintaining accurate, up-to date data across pertinent databases
* Collect and record community engagement prospect information
* Attend community engagement events and information sessions
* Provide direct service to clients as needed by the Family Reunification Team
* Assist with Family Reunification Program needs including community engagement or other duties as needed
* Attend and actively participate in staff meeting and events

LEARNING OUTCOMES:
* Students will develop an enhanced professional skill set, interact with other staff, clients and supervisors
* Students will develop workplace skills and acquire specific experience needed to pursue professional goals
* Students will gain knowledge of Affidavits of Relationship
* Students will learn data collection and data management methods for program development and reporting
* Students will have hands on experience on completing client intakes for program eligibility
* Students will gain knowledge on the types of immigration and refugee benefits available to refugees and asylees
Minimum Qualifications:REQUIREMENTS:
* An interest in international affairs and to work in a multiculturalsetting
* Must have reliable work hours during regular office hours (9am-5pm)
* Ideal candidates are independent, detail-oriented, and highly organized
* Creativity and initiative to follow through on projects
* Work or volunteer experience with foreign populations
* Computer literacy
* Applicants must be open to evolving responsibilities
* Submit intern hours on dashboard
Note: This is an unpaid internship. Intern must commit to at least 10-15 hours per week for a 3-month minimum. Internship hours are completed between Monday and Friday from 9:00 AM-5:00 PM
