Responsibilities

Valley Hospital is a private 122 bed psychiatric hospital specializing in mental health care and chemical dependency. Valley Hospital is built on three core principles, outstanding care, compassionate people and unparalleled service.

Summary:

The Director of Outpatient Services has day-to-day responsibility for the management and operation of the program. Primary responsibility for the development, implementation and achievement of the program's strategic business plan in conjunction with routine operations to include: quality of services, staff development, maintenance of licensure and accreditations, financial performance and continuous performance improvement. Monitors patient volumes, quality of care, and performance of staff to identify areas for improvement. Ensures that project/department milestones/goals are met and are adhering to the approved budgets. The incumbent will be challenged with growing and expanding the current business model.

Qualifications

Requirements:

  • Master's degree from an accredited college or university in social work, mental health, nursing, or related degree required.
  • A minimum of three (3) years' experience in a healthcare setting or managed care company, with experience in patient assessment, treatment planning, psychoeducation and psychotherapy process groups, and utilization management, or case management.
  • LCSW, or LPC, or other healthcare related independent licensure required.
  • Valid CPR card upon hire.
  • Successful completion of Management of Aggressive Behavior (SAMA) including restraint and seclusion policies prior to assisting in restraining procedures.
