VP - Portfolio Manager - Sponsor Finance

What you'll do:

The position of Portfolio Manager ("PM") is responsible for identifying and underwriting private equity backed leveraged buyouts. The PM performs a variety of functions including investment analysis, industry research, building financial models for prospects, maintaining financial models for portfolio, making recommendations and participating in team credit discussion. Primary responsibilities include analysis of new prospects and underwriting (~50%); performing borrower specific portfolio analytics (~40%); and assisting clients with operating account and treasury management needs (~10%). The PM is expected to build a specialization in several industries over time.

What we are looking for:

  • Performs assessment and analysis of financial conditions and risk of financing requests within framework of the team's credit culture and current economic and industry trends
  • Gathers and analyzes all information necessary to present financing requests to senior management
  • Approves loan payments, draws from lines of credit within specified limits
  • Understands the business implications of decisions; displays orientation to profitability
  • Participates with senior management in developing, analyzing, and finalizing major and complex loan agreements with representatives of large businesse
  • Participates in various internal committees assigned by senior management

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree (BA) or equivalent from a four (4) year college or university
  • (8) Eight years or more of Credit and Underwriting experience and direct experience in Sponsor Finance
