Job Description
Firetrace, a subsidiary of Halma plc (LSE: HLMA), and a global manufacturer of life-saving fire suppression devices, has an immediate need for an experienced ERP Systems Manager. This is an excellent opportunity for an analytical, action-oriented problem solver who enjoys adding value by improving efficiency and proposing systematic solutions to business challenges. Responsibilities
This is a crucial position, reporting to the VP Finance and supporting all stakeholders utilizing the Great Plains ERP system for critical business functions. The ERP System Manager will interact across organizational levels to identify key issues, assess options and propose ERP system changes, upgrades and reporting that will maximize profitability and customer satisfaction. The ERP Manager will be the in-house Great Plains expert and will ultimately be responsible for the configuration and performance of the system. An ability to provide both a long-term vision for the evolution of the ERP and day-to-day practical solutions will be vital. You will specifically be expected to:
  • Regularly conduct gap analyses to assess the configuration and use of the current ERP (Great Plains) and develop work plans to optimize system performance
  • Interact across functions to identify issues and design best practices within the ERP framework
  • Define and document SOPs and train colleagues on proper workflows
  • Equip identified “power users” with the knowledge and training to act as the first line of support for their peers
  • Design custom reporting utilizing SQL, Management Reporter, Power BI and other tools as needed to support Company objectives
  • Create and execute project plans using appropriate tools and methodologies in line with Company policies & procedures
  • Liaise as required with VARs, but reduce reliance on external consultants
  • Ensure data integrity by conducting ongoing data analysis and maintenance
  • Identify fit-for-purpose bolt-on software to address business needs that may arise outside the scope of Great Plains
  • Manage implementation and integration of related software
  • Create and/or maintain data management and reporting tools to support Company KPIs
  • Manage the manufacturing modules including Engineering Change Management, Manufacturing Bill of Materials and Manufacturing Order Processing

Anticipated Initial Deliverables
  • Establish best practice routines and reporting to ensure real-time inventory record integrity
  • Workflow configuration in Great Plains
  • Engineering BOM management and change control
  • Labor efficiency reporting and capacity planning
  • Parameter optimization for profitability/cashflow improvement
  • Outbound supply chain optimization
  • Enable cycle count functionality in GP
  • Resolution of identified historical data issues
  • Implementation of RMA module
  • Assist in facilitating Power BI implementation


Experience, Skills, and Education Requirements
  • Bachelor’s degree
  • Experience working within a manufacturing/assembly environment using Great Plains
  • Ability to lead and manage projects from inception to completion
  • Demonstrated track record of using the ERP to deliver business improvement
  • Self-starter, initiative taker, curious
  • Loves the challenge of creating efficient processes and systems
  • Power BI a plus

  • This role is based in Scottsdale, Arizona
  • Position is eligible for remote work
