We have an excellent opportunity for a Program Development Manager to oversee the daily operations and program development in our Halle Heart Children's Museum, an interactive learning center for children located in our Greater Phoenix Division.
The Halle Heart Children's Museum is a one of a kind educational center supported by the American Heart Association, focused on offering hands-on experience to educate children and adults on cardiovascular health.
Key responsibilities include:
- Overseeing the day to day operations
- Coordinate, plan and help execute the daily tours focused on school aged children and reaching almost 1000 students a week, including tracking of data and preparing reports
- Supervise the Heart Guides staff and volunteer program including recruitment, training and evaluation
- Community outreach and networking as a means to cultivate new resources and strategic partners
- Research, identify and develop new program opportunities to expand the center's outreach
- Assist with revenue generation including grants and donor cultivation
Qualified applicants will have:
- Bachelor's degree
- 2+ years of successful program and/or fund raising and management
- Experience in the field of education and/or youth program development and implementation would be helpful
- Ability to attract, recruit, manage and evaluate volunteers and staff as Heart Guides
- Proficient in Microsoft Office systems including word and excel
- Highly effective organization, multi-tasking, communication, negotiation, collaboration and interpersonal skills
- A self starter who can work in a team environment
- Ability to thrive in a results-driven environment
- Some travel required throughout territory. Evening and occasional weekend work required
